We provide extensive training and mentoring, resulting in knowledge and development within both sales and the innovative products and services that we work with.

Requirements of the role
  • Account management- including quotations, regular customer calls/ meetings and an understanding of their future requirements

  • Liaise with vendors to develop individual sales strategies
  • Integrate with the marketing team to develop and follow-up campaigns

  • To maintain our CRM System

We’re searching for a determined, ambitious sales professional with experience generating new business and achieving group and individual targets. Dedicated to our reputation as experts within our field, we have strong, consultative conversations with existing and prospective clients. You will be leading these discussions, geared towards educating potential customers and mapping out which products and services best suit their needs. You’ll be targeted to book your prospects onto a technical demonstration with our expert-engineers.

You’ll be working directly with the sales team and directors to develop new strategies to engage with, and target new opportunities via the phone to build a strong pipeline for the business. You’ll have the ability to build rapport quickly and engage in great conversations, while communicating important information and industry developments, with your responsibilities growing as you develop.

We’re looking for someone passionate about cyber security and storage and determined to deliver the best possible service to our customers. We include a great induction, constant mentoring and training, and a diverse range of responsibilities to really allow someone to sink their teeth into the role and make it their own.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team of passionate, innovative engineers with a reputation of being experts within the industry. You’ll need to be motivated and determined to keep up to date with the latest technology and have a passion for your role.

The perfect candidate will be great at building rapport and not be phased by picking up the phone and speaking with our customers, whether that be for example a remote install, web demonstration or to investigate a support ticket.

Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support on our top vendor Barracuda’s solutions; answering support queries via phone and our personalised customer email support hub
  • Conducting multiple web demonstrations on a one-to-one basis with Altinet’s customers
  • Remotely troubleshooting customer problems
  • Remotely installing Altinet's portfolio of products and services
  • Taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with user issues
  • Taking responsibility for the technical KPI’s in relation to your role

Essential Requirements

  • Confident communication via telephone and face to face
  • Networking knowledge and experience
  • Previous experience in first or second line IT support
  • The ability to learn quickly – we don’t expect you to be an expert now, but we want you to become one!
  • A self-starter who is comfortable working alone or within a team
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft based server and desktop operating systems, networks and office systems

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous helpdesk experience
  • Previous networking experience
  • Previous troubleshooting experience
